forgiveness

How to let go in one easy step. Forgiveness. There, made it easy for you. "You know what?" she asked. "What?"he replied.
"Oh, nothing".

Nothing in particular and nothing generally. A word between us as blank as time itself. Yesterday the sun found its place, its light concentrating and deepening in one corner of the backyard, the intensity of the light going from lemon-yellow to the brilliance of Maghribi white. Light, collecting, gathering. The shadows on the walls, plunging like cliffs. Your heart, not much better.

Finally, the clothes fit, but your soul is out of style. How everything comes to you late, not quite comprehended. Not knowing nothing.

Nothing wasn't a place, or a time. Not the street-corner you ran past with your heart in your mouth after sunset. Nothing wasn't something you found and placed in your pocket for safe-keeping, nor was it the via negativa of the medievals. And nothing wasn't a reason or the look in the devil's eyes. Nothing was just an empty heart, pure and simple.

Hello, back....

I was thinking...how about acceptance?

BTW, great music choices...many of them among my favorites; perfect sampling of different writers, many of them among my fave, too; exquisite meandering of thoughts, many of mine followed those paths, too. Life's little ironies or, maybe, just the joys of serendipity.
