I have come to take your place, sister,
At the high fire in the forest's heart.
Your eyes have grown dull, your tears cloudy,
Your hair is grey.
You don't understand the songs birds sing
Anymore, nor stars, nor summer lightning.
Don't hear it when the women strike
The tambourine; yet you fear the silence.
I have come to take your place, sister,
At the high fire in the forest's heart'...
'You've come to put me in the grave.
Where is your shovel and your spade?
You're carrying just a flute.
I'm not going to blame you.
Sadly, a long time ago
My voice fell mute.
Have my clothes to wear,
Answer my fears with silence,
Let the wind blow
Through your hair, smell of the lilac.
You have come by a hard road
To be lit up by this fire.'
And one went away, ceding
The place to another, wandered,
Like a blind woman reading
An unfamilair narrow path
And still it seemed to her a flame
Was close..
In her hand a tambourine
And she was like a white flag,
And like the light of a beacon.

Great selection, thank you for sharing b.
Keep well,
Astarte.
You're welcome, S.
Always a pleasure to hear from you
Have you overcome your writer's block :)
I'm not sure if you're able to read this. I heard that Kchi was without electricity yesterday.
You won't beleive this, but we actually had fog here last week-for just one hour! Very wyrd. It coincided with my purchasing of a collection of the old Sherlock Holmes films.
Orr?
Best,
b.
Ahem -Writer's block? Can't help but be suspicious that it is something as simple as laziness! When others are there to articulate in a better way what you want to say, then why bother! :)
Yes, news from Karachi is not so good, with about six to eight hours long power failures... but well there are generators and UPS (Urgent Power Supplies), so we somehow manage.
You bought Sherlock Holmes series? wow I love that. Jeremy Brett is superb as Sherlock Holmes. And the fog, perfect for Hound of Baskervilles!
Lucky you, you got gifts that you love in the coverings that you love :)
The rest, "Indus writes peace" and the weather is getting warmer by the day. But the breeze is as strong as ever and overall it is very pleasant.
Keep well,
Astarte (S).
