is this the promised poetry? the first image is marvelous, so soft that it's making my heart break -

gosh, it doesn't take much for your heart to break! :-)
no, not yet. This was with a Canon and-to say the obvious-i need to actually learn something about how to take photos..problem is that I'm not very good with animals, machines, plants, or human beings ..but, got to say, it was great fun going around and just looking.
Must buy that camera though. Friend has gone to dubai and so will ask him for the Nikon D-40-if it isn't too expensive. On the other hand, Ubo wants to buy me something called a "bridge" camera but I've asked him not to.
Can't wait, actually.
Anyway, thank you so much for your encouragement and for your expert advice on these matters.

i really like the third photo, with its old-sepia feeling, and the barely glimpsed reflection of i don't know what - maybe a koala?
looking forward to many more pictures.
