Think LIBOR, FX, ENRON, the debacle in Iraq, the concentration of media power, the increase in inequalities over the last thirty years, the shady dealings of the military-industrial complex and you begin to wonder if this isn't merely a case of a few rotten apples in the barrel but, instead, an indictment of a system that is as morally corrupt as any to be found in a tin-pot dictatorship.

Two things that you are not free to comment upon: Israel's brutality and the way in which big business has subverted democracy and attacked the public-sector ethos and older ideals of citizenship.
