the strange paths we trace

was looking for the Great Valerio by Linda Thompson and stumbled across this. Anyways...

When memory is of the future
then we may speak of fear and sharpening
and of love too more than of the fallen fruit
of the form that is calling and to that lovely form

---John Riley, Ways of Approaching.

hello mani, hello roxana!

Er..only a very small book...given to me by the wonderful and incredible, C. i think there's some of his 'stuff' available online somewhere (that's a great help, isn't it!)

also, under my blog called 'Fall' (type the word disc and u should get there)is a fragment of one of his poems.

now that u mention it, i always used to look for his books at borders/waterstones,blackwells on c.cross rd. but never did find anything..it was a sort of ritual..strange, really, how we always look for what we know we won't find!

well, yes, i'm also looking forward to your deep and 'profound' reply roxana on fasting.

as old queen vicky used to say: we are not amused :-)

okay, back to sleep for me...Zzzz

mani, are you teaching this term (I don't know why, but i seem to have it in my head that you're a teacher )

heard a terrible story yesterday..anyway, will share it with u over e-mail.

bye,

b.
